This course is fully inclusive of all clay and most materials as well as all firings. You might need to make, source, your moulds for your work, depending on your design. You will need to purchase your own washi, decals or lustres. A lustre firing will be provided if you choose to add gold or decals. You will need your own tools, or you can purchase them from Firebird Studios at low cost.
Also included in this course is a 3 month membership to Open Studio valued at $360! This gives you unlimited access to Open Studio session to help complete your work, plus access to the online member portal – tutorials, downloads and more.
Please Note – at the time of putting this course up online the entire world is affected by coronavirus. At this stage we do not know how this will affect Firebird Studios’ ability to deliver these classes in person. We have cut class size down to 6 people so we can effectively practice social distancing and control numbers in the studio – our studio space is 170 square meters so it meets required space per person very easily. Every course will be delivered online as a virtual course (support for the course) as well as live at every session via Zoom. If you are working from home we will be able to see what you are doing live, and answer your questions live and interact as if you were in the studio with us. Our strong belief is that while restrictions to normal life must apply at this time, part of your well-being considerations are to remain creative, to keep learning and to have your mind on something that is challenging and fun! If you are well and have no immediate family in the high risk category that you are in daily contact with there is no reason you shouldn’t visit the studio (depending upon government orders).
