Intermediate and Advanced Wheel 5 Week Course

Starting Thursday 7th October 6 – 8 pm

This 5 week throwing course is suitable for people who can centre and control their clay on the potter’s wheel.

It will take you through the skills involved in altering forms, throwing multi part pieces, throwing larger pieces and fitted pieces.

WEEK ONE

• Large Bowls – up to 5 kg

WEEK TWO

• Trim large bowls and decorate
• Design and throw the base pieces for heavily altered forms

• Prepare slabs and colis to finish off the heavily altered pieces
• Trim, cut and add – finish altered forms
• Throw tall forms

• Trim and decorate tall forms
• Coil and throw a large vase

• Trim and decorate the large vase
• Throw light shades – pierce and decorate during Community Clay
