Term Three is from July 12th to September 18th
Firebird Studios Community Clay is open for students and potters of all levels to come and explore their own clay projects and ideas.
Community Clay times are Monday 9 am – 1 pm, 2 pm – 9 pm, Tuesday through Thursday 2 pm – 6 pm, and Friday 9 am – 1 pm, 2 pm – 5 pm. You can come to the studio as often as you like during these times and stay as long as you like. the atmosphere is fun, friendly and full of creativity!
These sessions are self directed, so you should have some experience with clay! There will be staff members on hand to help you with your project. If you have not done at least four lessons in the basics of clay, we highly recommend that you start with one of our Introduction courses!

Community Clay is term based – 10 weeks – sometimes there is access to the studio during school holidays as well.
You will need your own tools (and you can use rollers and textures at the studio), your own hand towel, and your own clay. Clay can be purchased at the studio in whole bag lots. Clay must be taken with you. Use of studio glazes is included. Firing fees are $8/kg at the end of two firings (charged after glaze firing).
